Hundred Years of Chinese Immigration History in North America

NAMCC president, Zhang Xi, has spent tremendous time researching the Chinese immigration history in the United States and Canada. Many scholars with domain knowledge have been invited to participate. Nearly a hundred children learned the history and start drawing the historic scenes and figures. The project covers the first generation of Chinese immigrants who contributed to the construction of American railroads. It covers the outbreak of World War II, and the Chinese Exclusion Act.  There were 13,000 Chinese immigrants who were actively participating in World War II, 20% of whom died; 40% had no nationality. Although the Chinese Immigrants love their hometown deeply, they love the new homeland of the United States even more and are willing to contribute to it. Because they worked hard at the cost of their lives, the US Congress revoked the 71-year Chinese Exclusion Act, and the Chinese Immigrants finally won the right to live in the United States with dignity.

NAMCC plans to hold exhibitions and public books to introduce the 100 years of Chinese immigration history to the general public.

History of Chinese Laborer Ancestors in the Transcontinental Railroad

"Chinese-American Children painting Chinese Laborer Ancestors" is a very popular project. It allowed nearly a hundred children to learn Chinese immigrant history through drawing. The children learned the great contribution of the first generation of Chinese immigrants to the construction of American railroads, and drew the historic scenes and figures. The book with around 100 hand-drawn pictures is published. More people will learn this history while they get the chance to read the book.
